Water Infrastructure Finance Innovations Authority (WIFIA)

If enacted by Congress, a program that would access funds from the U.S. Treasury at Treasury rates and use those funds to support loans and other credit mechanisms for projects to repair or replace aging drinking water and wastewater infrastructure. The loans would be repaid to the Authority and then to the U.S. Treasury with interest.
